About me
Estera Waid is a Romanian-born church musician and classical guitarist, wife and mother, based in Houston, TX. She has 10, 16+, and 6 years experience playing classical, acoustic, and electric guitar respectively in church services and worship bands. This included arranging and harmonizing music and also teaching students for 5 years. She recently arranged “Hymns of the Season,” a two-volume, graded guitar hymn book for St. Paul’s Music Conservatory in Council Bluffs, IA. Previously, she spent 4 years as lead guitarist and music arranger for “Trupa Argument,” a Christian rock band that toured Romania and recorded a CD “De Vorba cu Tata” (“Talking with our Heavenly Father”). Additionally, for 5 summers she was a music leader, Bible teacher, and translator serving orphan kids in Romania with the American mission organization “For God’s Children International.” Her formal education includes a Music Diploma in Performing Arts (Classical Guitar) from Douglas College, British Columbia in 2017 and a Diploma de Licenta (Bachelors-equivalent) in Foreign Languages (English & Italian) in 2009.
